About Bow Cottage

Bow cottage was built at the turn of the century using traditional Cotswold materials including the signature honey coloured stone, which makes this area so pretty and unique. The interior of the cottage has been extensively refurbished and updated, but great care has been taken to maintain the original cottage charm and feel, whilst adding luxurious modern features.

Interior

The cottage has a spacious and bright the interior, with real limestone flooring and exposed honey stone walls. The paintwork is subtle Farrow and Ball colours that highlight the fireplace and open hearth with period cast iron grate and backplate.

The emphasis is on comfort and style, mixing modern and antique furniture to create a cosey, homely feel that welcomes you as soon as you arrive.

The kitchen is contemporary shaker style, with stainless steel appliances including an eye level oven and grill, gas hob and fridge freezer. For the convenience of guests we have a dishwasher, so no washing up and a washing machine just in case of emergencies.

The downstairs bedroom with en suite shower and wash basin, and separate downstairs cloakroom with WC mean that Bow Cottage can accommodate our less mobile guests who might struggle with the staircase.

Upstairs we have two double bedrooms and a feature bathroom with Slipper bath, Walk-in shower, vanity unit and WC. All have original feature stone walls and the bathroom has a real feeling of luxury.

Directly outside you will find two dedicated parking spaces at the front, which is essential in a popular holiday village like Bourton on the Water. There is also a dog wash point for when you return from those muddy adventures and an EV charging point.

The rear garden is a crushed Cotswold stone and raised decking area to capture those late afternoon golden rays of Cotswold sun, ideally accompanied by something cold and refreshing. Fully enclosed it is a safe haven where puppies can have some privacy and chill out time.

Bourton on the water

Regularly voted as the ‘prettiest village in England', Bourton-on-the-Water is the destination of choice for anyone looking for a quintessentially English holiday in the Cotswolds. There is plenty to do and see all year round from the August bank holiday football match played in the river, to the atmospheric Christmas market and Christmas tree switch on. There are miles of scenic walks, country pubs and beautiful traditional villages apparently untouched by time and progress.
